a wasted vote is when you vote for somebody you don't really want to see in office

Do you really want to vote for the kind of people who make commercials like what you've been watching for the last three weeks? The Libertarians need 50,000 votes today to get permanent ballot status. Help us out and send a message to those career politicians: nothing's more important than the issues.

Libertarian Party Candidates' Positions
The War on Drugs The government has spent billions of your dollars in the War on Drugs, and drug use has actually increased. Libertarians believe that prohibition is a mistake, and our candidates would enact legislation to legalize intrastate commerce in hemp and hemp products.
Gun Control
We believe that the balance of power has been shifting to the criminals with the government's assistance ever since 1911. We'd repeal the Sullivan Law or defeat it administratively.
Taxes
New York State spends 41% per capita more than the average state. The most intrusive tax is the income tax. The most regressive is the sales tax. All these taxes impede the economy of New York and diminish the welfare of New Yorkers.
Education
Before government schools, the illiteracy rate in the Northeast was 2 to 6%. Today it's much higher, and the cost of this poorer job of education is much higher. Today's government schools cost too much and often fail to teach.
Business
Libertarians believe that people have a right to associate, organize, contract, and to withhold their work (strike) as a bargaining tool. We also believe that consensual business contracts are the key to a prosperous economy.
Environment
Government makes the problem worse. Nuisance law once allowed any landowner to sue and stop the noxious activities of his neighbor. Now, government allows big polluters to trade pollution credits with each other!
